Viltri vs TripIt
TripIt organizes a trip: flights, hotels, cars and plans, from your confirmation emails, on iPhone, Android and the web. Viltri tells you the weather across a trip: at each stop, along each drive and at the airports. If you want your bookings in one place, TripIt does far more. If the weather is what you’re planning around, Viltri goes further.

Where TripIt is better
Organizing the trip. TripIt builds the whole itinerary, hotels, cars and reservations included, from the confirmation emails you already get. Viltri imports flights and stops, but it isn’t a booking organizer.
Devices. TripIt works on Android and on the web. Viltri is an iPhone app, though a trip shared from Viltri opens in any browser.
Where Viltri is better
The weather between the stops. TripIt shows the weather at places with an address. Viltri also forecasts the road between them: 12 points along each drive, for the time you’ll be on it, with stretches of rain, snow or thunderstorms marked.
What the FAA is doing to your flight. On each flight leg, Viltri shows any FAA ground stop or ground delay program at either airport, next to both airports’ METAR weather reports, and can notify you about one for a flight leaving today or tomorrow.
No account. Viltri has no sign-up; trips stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud.
Which should you use?
If you want every booking in one itinerary, use TripIt. If you want to know what the weather will do to a trip, on the road and in the air, use Viltri. Many travelers would use TripIt for the plan and Viltri for the weather.
Flying soon? The free flight-day airport weather check shows both airports’ weather without any app.
