Viltri vs Drive Weather

Both apps forecast the weather along a driving route for the time you’ll reach each part of it. Drive Weather is a dedicated road-trip tool that also runs on Android, the web and in the car. Viltri covers the whole trip: the drives, the stops and any flights in it.

We make Viltri, so read this with that in mind. Every Drive Weather claim comes from its own website or App Store listing (Concept Elements LLC, App Store id 1424517685), checked October 28, 2026.

Where Drive Weather is better

Pure road trips, on any device. If every trip you take is a drive, Drive Weather is a focused tool for it, and it runs on Android, in a web browser, and on CarPlay and Android Auto. Its free version forecasts two days ahead, and its paid tiers go out to ten.

A lower entry price. Drive Weather Pro is $19.99 a year, against $24.99 for Viltri Premium.

Where Viltri is better

Trips that aren’t only a drive. Viltri keeps a trip together: fly to one city, drive to the next, stay a few days. Each drive leg gets its route forecast, each stop gets its weather on the days you’re there, and each flight leg shows both airports’ METAR reports and any FAA ground stop or delay program.

Getting the trip in. Viltri can build a trip from a calendar event, a confirmation email shared to the app or a screenshot of a booking, or you can say it out loud.

No ads. Viltri has no ads on any plan.

Which should you use?

If you only drive, or you want the forecast on your car’s screen, Drive Weather is a strong choice. If your trips mix driving, flying and staying, Viltri covers all of it in one place.
